Applied Robotics
Applied Robotics is a leading global provider of specialised end-of-arm tooling and connectivity solutions designed to meet unique application and market needs – bringing new levels of flexibility and efficiency to bear on the industrial material handling process.
MAR have been appointed as a local sales agent for Applied Robotics products which include:
Heavy Duty Bag Gripper
Applied Robotics’ heavy duty bag gripper is designed for palletizing applications involving the placement of various sizes and weights of bags over 50 lbs. It features split-fork design and clamp pads to prevent misalignment
and maintain palletizing consistency.
Features and Benefits
- Capable of 20+ cycles per minute, dependent upon robot and distance traveling
- Capable of palletizing bags over 50 lbs./22.68 kg
- A sensor to verify presence/absence of bag in the gripper
- Utilizes dry lube bearings and is hard coated for protection in extreme environments
- All electrical connections between valves, sensors and the junction box, as well as the electrical cable and connector, are provided for easy robot integration

Meat Gripper
When food items are packaged and headed down the conveyor belt for palletizing, often the odd piece is mis-aligned. This is one reason the food processing industry turns to Applied Robotics for solutions like collision
sensors or grippers that quickly detect positioning issues, handle food safely and protect the larger investment in robotics equipment. Another issue is cleanliness. There is nothing more important when working with food than keeping things sanitary.
Applied Robotics’ Meat Gripper is the only gripper to earn accceptance by the USDA. It is designed to handle all types of meats, bacon, fish, and cheese in various forms; fresh, frozen and sliced. The rapid open & close times and smooth movement make it ideal for use on today’s high speed robots. The unique pickup head allows portions or groups of portions to be loaded gently, accurately and quickly into various packaging.
High Speed Singulator
In processing and packaging bulk products how do you get randomly dispensed items into order for packaging? Applied Robotics’ High Speed Singulator is the solution.
Designed for high-speed, gentle handling applications where it is necessary to singulate product from a group of individual products in random orientations, the High Speed Singulator can handle rates up to 500 pieces per minute/lane and easily integrates into your existing equipment.
Single and multiple lane singulation systems are available dependent on rate and product flow.
Products for singulation run the gamut including baked, fresh and frozen.
Tools
The great flexibly of a robot is the ability to utilise a large range of tools available on the market enabling many different functions to be undertaken.
Force and Torque Sensors
Sensor systems are now able to measure force and torque across all axis that the robot operates on. An example is a complex assembly robot that may be operating on 6 different axis.
Deburring Tools
A major use for robots is found in the areas of deburring, as part of the engineering process. Tools today include robust, high-speed, light-weight air tools with axially compliant cutting files enabling extremely accurate and complex manufacturing capabilities to be set up.
Tool Changers
With such a range of accessories available quick-change robotic tool changer provide the flexibility to automatically change end-effectors or other peripheral tooling, enabling much more flexibility in the total robotic solution being implemented.
